Vera Strobel (Justus Liebig University Giessen) – Strategic Litigation and International Internet Law
Digital rights have become an important field of strategic litigation by civil society. This is the topic of my book chapter titled ‘Strategic Litigation and International Internet Law’. In it I analyze strategic actors and cases with transnational effects concerning digital rights and focus on these questions: What is the potential of strategic litigation in this field? What are challenges and concerns? Does strategic litigation enhance civil society’s impact?
Mira Kossakowski (Ruhr University Bochum) – Consequences of Digitalization and Legal Technologies in Labour Law
Throughout the past few years, legal start-ups using intelligent technologies have entered various fields of law – one of them being labour law. By bringing venture capitalists as well as cooperations with international law firms and litigation financiers to the arena, these business models open up the potential of disruptive changes within the legal profession, the entire legal market, and the possibilities of participation in the legal system.
Is this really the case though? Our project strives to explore potential answers to this question.
